Feet in the Gulf of Mexico at Biloxi
Then we started heading to Pensacola, Florida to drive on the islands. We wanted to be seeing the water as much as we could. We stopped at the gulf coast sea shore national park area, to put our feet in the water in Florida.
This water was too warm, not refreshing.
Then we crossed the bridge in this picture to drive on the tiny islands for a bit, which was totally worth it! This was the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen.
This is sand that is so white that it looks like snow, it is also incredibly fine
We stopped for lunch at the Boardwalk Cafe and shared a meal: Shrimp cocktail and gyros, perfect!
This is a house that was on that skinny island stretch, pretty funny!
beautiful flowers on the islands
Then is was time to hurry up and get to Savannah. We stopped in some town to get a subway sandwich, get gas and use a restroom. The bathrooms were amazing; sinks and mirrors in each stall! Anyway... we split a foot long for 5 bucks and realized we each spent only 13 bucks today, sweet!
We found an awesome deal at the Red Roof Inn outside Savannah for 47 bucks with AAA and that included breakfast, what a deal! We decided on a glass of wine and relaxing for a couple hours, perfect way to end a very long and tiring day of driving.
